Fraction Fun

Here’s a website with a few games to practice what we are learning about fractions at home.  We can’t wait to hear about all the fun you’ve had!

See you tomorrow!

Math challenge!

How many times can you fold a piece of paper?  Does the size of the paper matter?  Students in 4/5 are exploring equivalent fractions and seeing how many fractions that are equivalent by folding the paper?  I wonder if one group will make more fractions?

Learning To Love Math

Here is a link to a resource to help explain the math program.  In it you will find activities to do with your child, ideas on how to help your child be successful at math in school and suggestions on building a positive attitude towards math.  Check it out and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to contact me at the school.

Hoping to see many of you  next Thursday for parent teacher interviews… remember to bring your child!

Today in 4/5dO

Today was an amazing day in 4/5 dO as the students ran our January student of the month assembly.  At the assembly they presented videos on perseverance (January’s character trait) and introduced our February trait of friendship.  They did an amazing job and I am so proud of them!  Below are the videos they created.  Take a look!  Have a terrific weekend!
